About this piece

The Story Behind the Piece Spirited, intelligent, and famously affectionate, the Welsh Corgi carries a big dog personality in an adorable, low-set frame. Known throughout history as hardworking herders and royal companions, Corgis bring pure joy and infectious energy to every household they grace. Artisanal Craftsmanship & How It’s Made Every tray is built by hand through an intensive, multi-phase method focusing on archival quality and lasting beauty: Precision Woodworking: The tray is constructed from natural timber featuring smooth mitered joinery and sculpted cutout side handles. It is hand-sanded to a soft touch and finished in an artisan matte-black wash that allows the subtle grain texture of the wood to remain visible while framing the art in a bold modern border. Archival Art Preparation: The Corgi portrait is printed using professional-grade, fade-resistant pigment inks on heavy acid-free archival substrate, guaranteeing deep, radiant tones that will not yellow or discolor over time. Mounting & Edge Sealing: The print is securely affixed to the interior baseboard and sealed around all perimeter edges, creating an airtight barrier that prevents edge-lifting or bubble release during the pour. Deep Resin Pour & Curing: Optical-grade, UV-resistant epoxy casting resin is carefully measured, blended, and poured across the tray well. The surface is hand-torched with precision to release all micro-bubbles, yielding a crystal-clear, mirror-smooth gloss. It cures over multiple days in a dust-controlled chamber to form an impermeable, durable shield that protects the artwork against dust, spills, and handling.
